School: A group of people, especially philosophers, artists, or writers, whose thought, work, or style demonstrates a common origin or influence or unifying belief: the school of Aristotle; the Venetian school of painters. A group of people distinguished by similar manners, customs, or opinions: aristocrats of the old school.
Our vision for the School of Grace is to present everyone with an equal opportunity to discover and explore the extent of the stature of Christ within them; to appreciate the life of our design displayed and realised in Christ as in a mirror. 2 Cor.3:18.
So our common belief, or influence, is ‘the Grace of God’. To discover God’s intent with man, His act of salvation, and the subsequent effect of this, which He demonstrated in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Being then the last of the Adamic race and the first born of a new race: the new creation.
So, the only essential item on the menu is – Him. To discover, love, and find expression in Him more distinctly and defined every day. And we know that He is not playing hide and seek with us, but is alive and well in His body! (To really know Him we have to know ourselves and one another in our original design.)
The substance of our message must ultimately be the person of Christ, and nothing else – not our own ‘testimonies’ or experiences; neither will you find us focusing at all on the working of the thief that ‘comes only to steal, kill and destroy’. The Word that became flesh and dwelt within us is our substance today – otherwise our message would have NO substance at all! This gospel is more than the story of God’s involvement in our lives so far. God wants to overwhelm us with the reality of His presence to such an extent that the past becomes irrelevant. We look forward to every new day to discover Him all over again!
